Some rain on Monday. Skies are expected to be mostly sunny, with an isolated shower or thunderstorm possible south in the evening. The forecast calls for a high near 83 and a low around 66.
A slight cooldown is expected as the week-long extreme heat breaks, though it is not expected to be as dramatic as cooling seen earlier in May and June.
AccuWeather meteorologists said the record-smashing heat pattern across the eastern United States will shift west through mid-July. Western New York can expect low to mid-80s in the middle of the week.
