Sanborn, N.Y. (WBEN) - A motorcyclist is dead after colliding with a vehicle on Saunders Settlement Road in Sanborn on Thursday night. Police say the striking vehicle was traveling the wrong way when the collision happened.
Lewiston Police responded to the area of 2273 Saunders Settlement Road around 8:56 p.m. and found the motorcyclist unresponsive. First responders quickly began life-saving measures, though those attempts were unsuccessful and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Initial information gathered by investigators says the victim was heading East on the two-lane road when the driver of the striking vehicle, which was traveling West, entered the motorcyclist's lane and hit the bike.
Lewiston Police say the driver of the car is cooperating with the investigation.
Names are being withheld until the families are notified.
