TOWN OF NIAGARA, N.Y. The projects include:
* : T.& J Canty LLC expanding its Lockport operations by 40,000-square-feet while adding 41 new jobs as a result of the $8.22 million project.

* Investors - led by Buffalo business Peter DeMakos - are spending more than $4.25 million to revive Lockport's Candleight Cabinetry - a move than will create at least 80 new jobs as the upscale kitchen and household cabinet designer and manufactures re-starts after its previous owners abruptly closed the business in January.

Porter Road Garden Apartments could see as many as 24 townhome-style, two-bedroom market rate units developed where two homes currently sit at 5700 Porter Road.
"The Town of Niagara is hungry for more market rate housing," said Chris Lofstrand , Peter Certo Corp. vice president.
Lostrand among the targeted nearby companies is the new Amazon center that's due to open later this summer.
"This may give some of those workers, a close and nearby option," Lofstrand said.
* Middleport-based Hellner Development wants to revive a long vacant, 114,000-square-foot plant on Hyde Park Boulevard in the Town of Niagara into a multi-tenant facility featuring both warehouse and light manufacturing tenants.
Rollin Hellner, Hellner Development president, said the redevelopment of the former Carborundum Co. plant will help fill a need for new, mixed-use industrial space in Niagara County.
"It is a much-needed upgrade," Hellner said.
The project carries a $2.1 million development price tag.
Hellner said he is already negotiating with potential tenants.
"Clearly, there is a need for this type of space," Hellner said.
