Olcott, NY (WBEN) The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF-1 tornado touched down in Olcott Wednesday.
The NWS says its Buffalo Storm survey found damage consistent with an EF-1 tornado in Olcott. A supercell thunderstorm, that previously produced a waterspout moved onshore producing damage from the shoreline inland.
The tornado's path length was 2/3 of a mile, maximum path width of 70 feet, and maximum winds of 105 mph.
