Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Summer activities at Canalside in Downtown Buffalo are "on pause" after two people were shot Monday evening.
Buffalo police are still searching for the shooters involved in the incident, as officials work to increase safety measures for people planning to visit the city's waterfront.
WBEN received a statement from the Buffalo Waterfront and Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation:
“We have paused our limited activities on site today as we work with the City of Buffalo and Buffalo Police Department following the incident at Canalside last night. We have already witnessed increased patrols today and are working diligently with our partners to ensure the safety of all our guests on site. We look forward to welcoming the public back to previously scheduled events and programs tomorrow, Wednesday, June 25.”
