Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - There's a new twist in the lawsuit filed against Buffalo Common Council President Darius Pridgen on Friday.
Pridgen's attorney, Paul Cambria, says the accuser has told reporters the assault never happened.
LISTEN LIVE TO WBEN:
Cambria tells WBEN he has sent a letter to the attorney of Pridgen's accuser, Antigone Curis, after she told The Buffalo News that Pridgen never sexually assaulted her. The woman adds she does not know who Pridgen is.
In the letter, Cambria quotes the complainant as telling her pastor, "None of this happened."
Cambria tells the accuser's attorney the attorney verified the complaint, but not the accuser herself. Cambria's letter warns Curis to file for a notice of discontinuance with prejudice or face additional litigation.
Earlier this week, a lawsuit was filed against Pridgen claiming sexual assault at True Bethel Baptist Church.
