Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - A Rochester woman was taken into custody by the Erie County Sheriff's Office on Saturday following an investigation into an incident at KeyBank Center on Saturday during the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey show.
32-year-old Tenitia Cullum was arrested after KeyBank Center security requested the assistance of Erie County Sheriff's Office patrol that had been detailed to work the event. It was at approximately 7:10 p.m. ET when security informed patrol that an x-ray baggage scanner appeared to show a handgun inside a diaper bag that was carried by Cullum. Security personnel had taken the bag into their offices.
When patrol responded to the security office, it was confirmed that a loaded .22 caliber handgun was in the bag with a round in the chamber and six more rounds in the magazine.
The investigation determined that Cullum also did not possess a pistol permit.
Callum was transported to the Erie County Holding Center, where she has been charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.
