Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - The Buffalo Sabres will have a new addition to their road uniforms next season.
The Sabres announced on Friday that Stark Tech will have their logo featured on their white away jerseys beginning in the 2026-27 season as the team's first ever on-jersey sponsor.
“This is an exciting and important time for our organization on both the team and business sides,” Sabres President of Business Operations Pete Guelli said, in a statement. “We felt it was important to be patient and intentional in finding the right partner to be represented on our jerseys. Ultimately, Stark Tech emerged as the best fit for where we are today and where we are headed.”
The Amherst based Stark Tech is a provider of facilities and energy solutions that has worked with the Sabres on ice preparation and gametime monitoring at KeyBank Center. Stark Tech also provides services at KeyBank Center and Harborcenter that include HVAC controls, security, lighting, and critical power systems.
The Stark Tech logo will be featured prominently on the front of the Sabres' road white jerseys.
The Sports Business Journal reports that Stark Tech will pay the team more than $2 Million annually as part of the sponsorship, and that the Sabres also expect to have a new home jersey patch partner in place for next season.
There is no word on if the jersey sponsor will be placed on the replica jerseys fans will buy in the team store.
Buffalo was one of just four teams in the league to not have a jersey sponsor after the NHL began allowing them in 2022.
