NEW YORK (WBEN) -- CVS will start administering COVID-19 vaccines at select pharmacies in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut next week, the company said Tuesday.
Thirty-two CVS pharmacies in New York, 27 in New Jersey and 12 in Connecticut will start administering vaccines on Thursday, Feb. 12, the company said in a press release.
Residents who meet their states' eligibility criteria may be able to start booking their vaccines as soon as Feb. 9, the release noted.
"One of our greatest strengths as a company is our presence in communities across the country, which makes us an ideal partner for administering vaccines in a safe, convenient and familiar manner," CVS Health President and CEO Karen Lynch said in a statement.
CVS pharmacies in Hamburg and Batavia are among the limited number of locations that will be offering the vaccine according to the release.
The vaccine rollout will expand to additional locations as supply increases, the company noted. Residents interested in scheduling a vaccine can sign up in advance at CVS.com once registration opens or through the CVS Pharmacy app. Those without online access can contact CVS customer service at 800-746-7287.
