Amherst, N.Y. (WBEN) - Amherst Police is investigating a three-car crash late Thursday morning that saw several people being taken to Erie County Medical Center for treatment.
Police say a United States Postal Service vehicle was on Sheridan Drive near Jordan and moved into the opposite lane, which caused a collision with a Ryder Truck that was traveling Eastbound. The Ryder truck spun into the opposite lanes on Sheridan, colliding with a minivan before coming to final rest.
The driver of the postal truck suffered minor injuries and was taken to ECMC.
The driver of the Ryder truck suffered serious injuries, and two passengers in the truck suffered minor injuries. All three occupants of the Ryder truck were transported to ECMC.
The occupants of the Mazda minivan suffered minor injuries, and were not transported by EMS personnel.
The crash is currently under investigation.
