Niagara Falls, N.Y. (WBEN) - A joint investigation led by the New York State Police and its BCI (Bureau of Criminal Investigation) unit, along with the New York State Parks Police are looking into reports that an 18-year-old who fell into the lower Niagara River gorge while fishing.
State police said the teenager was fishing between Whirlpool State Park and Devil's Hole State Park when he entered the water and hasn't been seen since.
The incident took place around 10:22 a.m. Wednesday.
Multiple law enforcement agencies and emergency medical personnel are on the scene and aiding in the search.
The investigation continues, police said.
