This year, with the year not even half over, Orchard Park has just notched its 16th house to sell for more than the key $1 million-plus threshold.

In the latest deal, an eight-bedroom house at 35 Red Brick Road sold for $1.975 million, six years after it sold for $1.08 million.

The 10,125-square-foot house was constructed in 2009.

The sale serves as a snapshot for how active the upper end housing market continues to be across the Buffalo Niagara region.

To date, there has been 42 homes that sold for more than $1 million - meaning a deal for $1 million-plus home has closed once every four days.

Erie County is on a pace to sell at least 85 houses this year that went for more than $1 million.
