Buffalo, NY (WBEN) After changes in the state's policy eliminating COVID19 restrictions for outdoor events, organizers for the Taste of Buffalo have changed their recipe. It will no longer have timed sessions nor a prepaid admission ticket required.
Organizers say the event will be open for its usual festival hours, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 10, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 11. "We're excited to be able to open up the events to free general admission," says Eric Duvall. He adds food and beverage tickets will be available to purchase using cash, MasterCard, or Visa, upon arrival at one of two ticket tents at the festival.
If you already bought your admission tickets online, Duvall says you will automatically get your $20 refund. "If you bought tickets for the Tops session on July 10th from 11am to 3pm, you can either receive a full $20 refund at any Tops area location at the customer service desk through July 11th or take your Tops voucher to the Taste of Buffalo and receive $25 in food tickets at the ticket tents at any point during the festival,." explains Duvall.
Though he did not have any numbers, Duvall says he was encouraged by the number of people who did buy advance tickets online.
26 restaurants, food trucks, and wineries will take part in the event along Niagara Square and Delaware Avenue.
