Hamburg, N.Y. (WBEN) - Hamburg police arrested a 16-year-old Saturday after they say he crashed a stolen vehicle into a Burger King in Blasdell.
Police said officers spotted two vehicles around 5 a.m. Saturday near Route 20 and Camp Road that had been stolen from a driveway in the Village of Hamburg. Officers began a pursuit that also involved a third vehicle reported stolen from Cheektowaga.
One of the suspects lost control near Route 20 and McKinley Parkway, police said, crashing into the Burger King at 4175 McKinley Parkway.
The 16-year-old driver ran from the scene but was taken into custody a short time later, police said.
The teen is charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, third-degree unlawful fleeing of a police officer, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, second-degree reckless endangerment, reckless driving and several traffic and other vehicle-and-traffic-law violations.
The teen was released and is scheduled to appear in the Youth Part of Erie County Supreme Court.
