North Tonawanda, NY (WBEN) A North Tonawanda High School student is recovering after being struck by a car Friday afternoon.
North Tonawanda City Schools says in a statement:
One of our high school students was hit by a car on Nash Road after dismissal today. The student is currently in stable condition and receiving appropriate care.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the North Tonawanda Police, Fire, and Emergency Medical Services for their immediate and professional response. Their quick action ensured that the student received prompt assistance.
We recognize that incidents like this can be concerning for students, staff, and families. Counseling and support services will be available at our schools for any student who may need assistance processing this event.
