Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The 5/14 Memorial Foundation Board will announce a new Executive Director Monday. The nonprofit organization is dedicated to honoring the lives lost and the families that were impacted on May 14, 2022.
"The goal have been established prior having someone to help do the day to day and task of being an interim director and helping moving the initiatives forward for the erection of the monument, and beyond." Said Reverent Mark Blue.
The announcement of the Executive Director will be the highlight of the board meeting along with updating on current events that have happened with the foundation. Reverent Blue said that this is a great moment for the foundation moving forward.
"It'll be a great moment for the families and the survivors of 5/14 it'll be a great moment to see the work progressing." Reverent Blue said with WBEN. "It will have its roots in the ground soon, and we'll look at everything that has been transpiring to get to this point for more healing and hope for the community and for the families, it'll be a great step forward in the project of accomplishment. So we're looking forward to going forward in this phase of the 5/14 monument."
