Grand Island, N.Y. (WBEN) - In what is becoming a familiar commercial real estate scenario, fast-expanding national auto parts retailer O'Reilly Auto Parts has acquired another former Rite Aid location.
O'Reilly has bought five area Rite Aid sites in recent months as it continues with its aggressive regional expansion.
In the latest deal, O'Reilly paid $1.3 million for a nearly 11,000-square-foot former Rite Aid at 2325 Grand Island Boulevard on Grand Island.
The new O'Reilly location is scheduled to open later this fall.
The deal marks the second time in the past five days that a one-time Rite Aid location has landed a new owner.
West-Herr Acquisitions LLC - an affiliate of West-Herr Automotive Group - has increased its real estate holdings in the five corners neighborhood in Getzville by paying $1.3 million for a former Rite Rod at 2545 Millersport Highway.
Pending final Amherst approvals, West-Herr will use the nearly 11,000-square-foot building as a vehicle service center.
West-Herr's Getzville/Five Corners holdings include a Lincoln dealership, a service center, a Ford dealership and office building.
The new service center is expected to open early next year, if Amherst officials sign off on the project.
