Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - "It's amazing. We've had snow every day in 2025, except for one: Feb. 11."

WBEN and WKBW meteorologist Aaron Mentkowski has been looking at the snow data. At least a trace of snow has been recorded at the Buffalo Airport every day, except one. That's 51 days so far this year.

You might think that it's a record year for snow, but it's not.

"We are actually below normal for the season, about half an inch," said Mentkowski.

74 inches is the average snowfall for Feb. 21. Buffalo has had 73.4 inches to date, according to the National Weather Service.

When it comes to the Golden Snowball Award, a contest between Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Binghamton and Albany, Buffalo is in 4th place. Syracuse is the leader.

- Syracuse: 97.4 inches of snow
- Rochester: 76.1 inches
- Binghamton: 71 inches
- Buffalo: 68.2 inches
- Albany: 41.7 inches
