Buffalo, NY (WBEN) A jury has convicted a Town of Tonawanda man in connection with the strangulation death of his wife. Jurors deliberated just one hour after a 3 1/2 day trial.
Jose Ruiz, Jr. faces 25 years to life after being found guilty of murder, by strangling his wife, 59-year-old Mavilie Ruiz, by his own hands following an argument inside their Tillotson Place home in 2019.
Ruiz continues to remain held without bail. Sentencing is set for March 14.
