Niagara Falls, N.Y. (WBEN) Two people died in separate shootings early Sunday in Niagara Falls, police said.
In the first incident, officers were called around 1 a.m. to the area of Fairfield and Highland avenues for reports of a large gathering and shots fired.
Police said officers arrived and began dispersing the crowd. A witness told police someone drove the shooting victim to the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, where the victim was pronounced dead.
Police were called about two hours later, around 3 a.m., to 3004 Niagara Street, formerly known as “The Bakery,” for reports of another large party and shots fired. Police said officers found a large, uncooperative crowd and began rendering aid to a victim located in an alley behind the building.
The victim was taken to the Niagara Falls Memorial Emergency Room, where they later died from their injuries, police said.
Anyone with information about either shooting is asked to contact the Niagara Falls Police Department Criminal Investigation Division at (716) 286-4553, or the general information line at (716) 286-4711.
