Niagara Falls, N.Y. (WBEN) - Two unlicensed cannabis shops have been shut down in Niagara Falls, and their owner was arrested following a three-month investigation by New York State Police and the State Office of Cannabis Management.

A search warrant was executed Tuesday at Something Serious Smoke Shop at 1100 Connecting Road, First Class Cannabis at 3256 Hyde Park Boulevard and the residence of Lawrence Humphrey at 3057 Lincoln Street in Niagara Falls.

According to the office of Mayor Rob Restaino, a "large amount" of cannabis, edibles and vape cartridges were seized across all three properties. The Office of Cannabis Management says it's one of the largest crackdowns since the state began shutting down unlicensed weed shops.

Humphrey is set to be charged in Niagara County Court.

State Police and the Office of Cannabis Management were joined by the New York State Office of Taxation and Niagara Falls Police Narcotics Intelligence Division in the investigation.
