CLAREBCE, N.Y. (WBEN)......Erie County's streak of seeing the sale of private residences going for north of the key $1 million economic benchmark has continued with two Clarence homes both going for above the $1 million benchmark.
That gives Erie County four consecutive days of seeing a $1 million-plus home sale recorded in the county clerk's office.
Overall, 49 homes - through July 1 - have been recorded in the Erie County Clerk's office with sales of $1 million - or more.
In the latest deals:
* A six bedroom, 7,551-square-foot house at 5558 Herons Glen sold for $2.465 million.
The house was built seven years ago.
* And, in Clarence's Spaulding Lake subdivision, a four-bedroom house at 9578 Cobblestone Drive sold for $1.2 million.
The 4,100-square-foot house was built in 1997.
Erie County is trending towards seeing a $1 million-plus residential deal being filed in the clerk's office once every four days and the county is trending towards at least 85 $1 million-plus home sales this year.
Orchard Park has seen 18 $1 million-plus home sales this year followed by Clarence with 17 such sales.
Last year, Erie County recorded 105 $1 million-plus home sales that set a new benchmark for the region.
The sale of $1 million homes is considered a key economic development threshold in the region's residential real estate industry.
