North Tonawanda, N.Y. (WBEN) - About 100 people attended a vigil for right-wing activist Charlie Kirk at Gratwick Park in North Tonawanda over the weekend.
Chris Preston, who attended the event, said the gathering left a powerful impression. He shared video and pictures with WBEN.

“It was a remarkable experience given the circumstances,” Preston said. “I’m glad to have experienced such an energy surrounded by strangers and felt their love.”
Kirk was shot and killed last Wednesday. Tyler Robinson, the man accused in the shooting, is scheduled to appear in a Utah courtroom Tuesday to face charges.
Another vigil for Kirk is planned for 7 p.m. Wednesday at Niagara Square in Buffalo. The event is being organized by the Constitutional Coalition of New York State.
