Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - A Waterfront Village townhome that last sold for $740,000 in 2013 has just been sold for $1.4 million - a 53% increase.
The sale serves as a snapshot of how hot listings are in Buffalo's Waterfront Village.
And the deal is Erie County's 61st residential transaction that saw a private residence sell for more than $1 million.
In the latest deal:
A three-bedroom, 2,620-square-foot townhome at 172 Rivermist Drive sold and it went for nearly $400,000 more than original list price, according to Zillow.com
The Rivermist townhomes were developed in 1988.
The deal marks the 7th time this year, a Buffalo private residence has sold for more than $1 million.
Overall, Erie County is on pace to see 107 homes sell for more than $1 million-plus benchmark - a key economic threshold in the region's residential real estate industry.
Last year, Erie County set a record with 105 homes going for north of the $1 million mark - that included 21 in the City of Buffalo.
