Parents want district to reopen sooner

WEST SENECA, N.Y. (WBEN) – About 100 parents and students protested outside of West Seneca West High School on Tuesday with a desire to have their voices heard by the district.

Much of the issues among parents are related to the reopening of the district. West Seneca Schools is currently operating under the remote model, but will begin phasing in students beginning November 9 with self-contained special education children. Pre-Kindergarten at Northwood and Allendale will begin November 16. Kindergarten students will return to class on November 30.

First and second grade students will return on December 7.
Grades 3-6 will be back on December 14.

Middle school and high school students won't be back in the classroom until January 4.
