West Seneca, N.Y. (WBEN) - West Seneca Police say a woman died in a rear-end collision at Clinton and Borden on Sunday. Police say her car was hit by the other vehicle that was going at a high rate of speed.
Police say an officer came upon the crash at around 6 p.m. ET on Sunday, where they saw a Toyota RAV4 had overturned in a parking lot and a Dodge minivan in another parking lot.
Their initial investigation determined the Toyota driven by 48-year-old Alan Bulera of Cheektowaga was driving at a high rate of speed when his vehicle rear-ended the minivan, driven by 76-year-old Irene Mair.
Both were taken to Erie County Medical Center, where Mair died of her injuries. Bulera remains at the hospital in serious, but stable condition.
Three other unoccupied vehicles were damaged by Mair's minivan, according to police.
Police are asking for further assistance with their investigation of this incident. Anyone with dash cam footage, or may have been witness to this incident is asked to contact West Seneca Police at (716)-674-2280.
