Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Buffalo fire officials are investigating an overnight fire at 41 Concord Street. Buffalo fire responded to the call just before 2:50am, and left a woman hospitalized.
Fire investigators say the fire appears to have started in a first floor bedroom of the multi unit residential structure. Firefighters from Ladder 5 rescued a 65 year old woman from the structure and brought her to an ambulance that was waiting on scene.
According to Fire commissioner William Renaldo "the victim was in respiratory distress and a firefighter rode in the ambulance to further assist. " She was transported to ECMC where she's being treated after suffering multiple burns to her body. One firefighter was injured and has been treated and released from ECMC.
Officials say damage is estimated at $70,000 and the cause of the fire is under investigation
