(WBEN) Police in Niagara Falls are looking for a gunman who wounded a 32-year old woman at a gas station on 19th Street early yesterday morning. She was rushed to the hospital and underwent surgery and was in stable condition.
31-year old Anthony Hill was with the woman and he returned fire at the shooter. It turns out Hill's gun had been stolen out of Ohio so he ended up with some serious gun charges and is being held on a Parole Detainer.
The shooter is still at large.

(Niagara Falls, NY, June 12, 2012) At approximately 2:15 am on June 12th, 2021, Niagara Falls Police Department responded to the Costal gas station at 601 19th Street for a report of a woman shot.
Upon arrival Patrol Officers located a 32-year-old Niagara Falls woman who sustained a gunshot wound and was bleeding heavily. Officer initiated aid until Niagara Falls Fire Department and AMR arrived on scene. The woman was transported to ECMC and underwent surgery and is listed in stable condition this morning.
During the course of the shooting investigation, it was determined that a male that was with the victim had retrieved his own handgun and returned fire. The handgun that the male used was recovered at the scene.
That male, 31-year-old Anthony Hill, was charged with Criminal Possession of Weapon 2nd degree and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree, when it was discovered that the gun had been reported stolen out of Ohio.
Hill was arraigned this morning and is currently being held on $20,000 bail as well as a Parole Detainer.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing and at this time no other arrests have been made.
