A TikTok video that appears to show former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton getting a little irritated with her husband, former President Bill Clinton, in New York City Traffic is going viral.
This video was shared Wednesday by TikTok creator who identifies himself as Elder Ordonez, “an entertainment and celebrity photographer,” who said in a caption that the footage was taken Tuesday on Madison Avenue. As of Thursday morning, it had nearly 500,000 views.
Outlets like The New York Post and The Daily Mail covered the story. Right-wing YouTuber Benny Johnson also posted a video about it.
According to Ordonez, the Clintons were attending an event before visiting their daughter, Chelsea. He also said they were surrounded by a heavy Secret Service detail.
In the video, the couple can be seen crossing East 26th Street near 41 Madison Ave., then turning to cross Madison going in the direction of 5th Avenue. As they crossed Madison, Bill can be seen accidentally rolling into his wife’s back as the group shuffles around to avoid cars turning on to East 26th, apparently inadvertently pushing her into oncoming traffic.
“Don’t do that,” Hillary can be heard saying before patting her husband away walking to find a place on the sidewalk.
Bill stayed in the intersection for a moment but looked back at Hillary with a smile and soon joined her on the sidewalk. Through the rest of the video, they made their way down Madison without much trouble, though others were also taking photographs. At one point, Bill put his arms around Hillary’s shoulders as they walked near a restaurant.
Bill was president from 1993 through 2001. Hillary was Secretary of State in the administration of former President Barack Obama, from 2009 through 2013. She also won the popular vote during the 2016 presidential election but lost the election to current President Donald Trump via the electoral college.
Recently, the couple has been in the news due to their long-awaited testimony regarding disgraced financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. According to the Associated Press, Bill distanced himself from Epstein – though records show he traveled on Epstein’s private plane – and Hillary maintained that she had never met him.
