A woman from Chicago was one of two people injured yesterday in a skydiving accident outside of Milwaukee.
Officials said the two victims were a 28-year-old woman from Racine and a 49-year-old woman from Chicago.
They were tandem skydiving outside of Skydive Midwest when witnesses saw trouble.
“A wind took the parachute and turned it over, and their bodies came down,” Dawn Osinski told CBS 58 in Milwaukee.
Officials said the parachute was deployed, but the pair lost control about 20 – 30 feet above the ground.
The two women were taken to an area trauma center by helicopter.
In 2014, an instructor was killed in a skydiving crash just a few miles from this weekend’s incident.
