Former United States Vice President Mike Pence appears to be staffing up, hiring employees for a new office in downtown Washington, reports say. Some think that this is a sign the Republicans could be preparing for a White House campaign.

In recent weeks, Pence has doubled his team, adding a fundraiser and a new office space for his non-profit group, CNN reported.

It has also been reported that Pence is planning trips to the 2024 primary states, indicating further that he could be running for president.

Some question whether or not he would gain traction within the Republican party following recent reports that he and former President Donald Trump are not on speaking terms.

Olivia Troye, who served on the White House Coronavirus Taskforce in 2020, claims that his run for president is “apparent.”

“It has always been his goal to run for the presidency, and that’s why he ended up aligning himself with Trump as much as I know that he likely detests him,” Troye said.
