According to the gossip news outlet, DaBaby pulled the trigger Wednesday night, firing at an intruder who was hit in the leg. Police say the rapper and the victim spoke briefly before any shots were fired, TMZ claims.

The victim reportedly entered the Troutman, N.C. estate without permission. The town manager told TMZ DaBaby, legally named Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, frequently stays at the property, which no one can easily access because of gates, walls, and security guards.

Troutman police told the outlet that its officers responded to reports of a shooting Wednesday night, adding when they arrived, they located a person with non-life-threatening gunshot injuries. Authorities said the person was rushed to a hospital for treatment, according to TMZ.

Police have not arrested anyone and plan to submit their evidence to the District Attorney, TMZ said.

In February, a video circulated online after a fight at a bowling alley involving DaBaby. The man involved in the brawl later identified himself as Brandon Bills, the brother of R&B singer DaniLeigh, with whom DaBaby shares a daughter.

Law enforcement sources said they were investigating DaBaby for assault with a deadly weapon because Bills was kicked in the head while he was already on the ground.
