Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson shared his thoughts on the Russian capital of Moscow, saying it was “nicer” than any city in the United States.

The comments from Carlson during a recent interview at the World Government Summit came after he visited Russia to interview the country’s president, Vladimir Putin.

“And the most radicalizing thing for me in the eight days I spent in Moscow was not just the leader of the country,” Carlson said.

Carlson praised Putin during the interview, calling him a “capable” leader of his nation.

“What was very shocking, very disturbing was the city of Moscow, where I’d never been … it was so much nicer than any city in my country,” he said, adding that the city was “so much cleaner, and prettier aesthetically — its architecture, its food, its service — than any city in the United States.”

During Carlson’s sit down with the Russian president, Putin spread propaganda about the ongoing war he is waging in Ukraine, taking the opportunity to criticize the American government for his country’s invasion.

In his interview at the summit, Carlson shared his displeasure with the US government and its handling of crime, inflation, and more. He even took a shot at some US allies, alleging that leadership in London and Paris have failed to address the same issues.

He also took a moment to call for a ceasefire in Gaza, saying the US was “evil” for not already having done so.

Still, Carlson didn’t say he was an anti-American when asked in the interview.

“No, I am the most pro-American,” he said.
