Rain, rain, go away!
Rounds of rain fell across the Buffalo-Niagara and Western New York region Tuesday, leaving low-lying intersections underwater, yards flooded and traffic at a standstill as heavy rainfall and even hail pummeled the region.
There was a tornado warning for a period of time across portions of the southern tier, as well as numerous severe thunderstorm watches and warnings posted by the National Weather Service.
A break in the heavy rain comes for the midweek and temperatures Wednesday will be 15 to 20 degrees below the much milder highs of Tuesday.
