Just on the edge, WNY gets 'brushed' by northeast winter storm

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Just enough to slow things down, but not nearly enough to live up to a significant winter storm in Western New York.

The Buffalo and Western New York region were only brushed by a large winter storm system that churned its way across much of the northeast, dumping snow measured in feet in spots like Binghampton and parts of Pennsylvania.


As of early Thursday morning, just shy of three inches of snow had fallen at the Buffalo airport and meteorologist Kirk Apffel at the National Weather Service says when all is said and done, 2 to 4 inches will be on the ground.
