1 Go out with your friends

Know other singles? Call ‘em up and celebrate Galentine's Day! That means hitting the least romantic bar you can think of, going to the least Valentine’s Day appropriate movie, or breaking a sweat by teaming up to play your favorite sport. Whatever you do, there’s strength in numbers, and you're sure to have a great time with your closest pals!

2 Cook yourself something nice

Don’t bother going out to a restaurant on Monday evening. Every place will be chock full of cooing couples exchanging sweet nothings. Instead, hit the grocery store, pick up some nice wine from the shop, and treat yourself to a romantic dinner for one. A nice steak, maybe, or a hearty bowl of carbonara would fit the bill, but so would something a little healthier if that’s your definition of a treat. This is the day for you to do you!

3 Cut out of work early

Avoid the temptation to stay late at work just to avoid the evening. Instead, call it a half day, skip the rush hour traffic, and do anything you want with the evening. This is the perfect excuse to leave work and catch up on all those shows and movies you've been putting off due to your busy schedule!

4 Pamper yourself

5 Take a trip

There’s nothing like the open road and the wind on your back. If you’re worried about feeling trapped in your single life, escape it physically by taking a weekend trip out of town.
