In 2016, Keith Davison lost his wife of 66 years to cancer. He told ABC 10 in Minnesota, "You just can’t imagine what it's like. You cry a lot. That's just the way it is, because she's not here."

Lately, the lonely quiet has dissipated for Davison as late this spring, he installed a pool in his backyard for all the kids in his neighborhood to swim.
Davison said with a smile, "I knew they'd come."
Davison has three adult children but no grandchildren, though his neighor Jessica Huebner says she now tells him, "You kind of adopted our whole neighborhood of kids, these are your grandkids."
