BUFFALO, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- President Joe Biden plans to travel to Buffalo, New York with first lady Jill Biden on Tuesday to meet with the victims of the white supremacist mass shooting that left 10 people dead and three injured on Saturday.

Biden expressed his condolences to the families during his speech at the National Peace Officers Memorial Service on Sunday, and said he is working on scheduling time to call the family members of victims ahead of the trip.

“Jill and I pray for the victims, their families and devastated community from yesterday’s mass shooting in Buffalo, New York,” wrote Biden on Twitter Sunday. “Our hearts are heavy once again but our resolve must not waver; we must work together to address the hate that remains a stain on the soul of this nation.”

Biden called Gov. Kathy Hochul on Sunday to discuss the shooting and said he’s receiving regular briefings on the situation.
