BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) - College students at Buffalo State will spend the next few days trickling into the campus from all parts of the country.
"That's an approach we chose to take as a conservative and safe approach," Timothy Gordon, Vice President of Student Affairs, said. "We are investing in working through and making sure we have a robust tracing and reporting process. Students will report their symptoms every day. Tracers follow up with those students every day. Students in quarantine will also have liaisons working with them."

August 19, 2020 The college dedicated a residential hall to be used only for people who contract coronavirus. There are 75 beds in that dorm.
As students enter their dorms, the college will supply them with a safety kit with masks, wipes, forehead thermometer, and other materials related to coronavirus education and prevention.
Still, there are several other factors that the school must prepare for just to prevent an outbreak. Students will have limited access to dining halls and reserve a space in order to eat. The school will also work with the city to monitor students who reside off campus.
For Lianni, she will be meeting her roommate for the first time and be quarantined with her for a full week.
"I brought card games so hopefully it's not terrible," she said. "There's TV and things like that."
