With Christmas just days away, health experts are warning about the rapid spread of Omicron across the country. But they say there are ways to gather together safely without having to change your plans.

The holidays are all about coming together, but that can be daunting with a new COVID-19 variant tearing through the country. Still, health experts say you don’t have to totally change your holiday plans to be safe. Just take precautions.

Dr. James Herd with Baylor Scott and White says masking and social distancing can definitely help slow the spread. Choosing to attend church services either online or outdoors can help, too. Also, health experts say getting a COVID test before you travel to see your family is a good way to make sure you’re not spreading anything but holiday cheer.
