
Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The first half of the weekend will be wet to start with some gusty winds blowing in later in the day.
A flash flood watch that had been posted by the National Weather Service has been canceled.
* WHAT...Minor lakeshore flooding expected. A brief period of moderate to strong southwest winds early Saturday morning will result in a water rise at the northeast end of Lake Erie.* WHERE...Lake Erie shore of Erie and Chautauqua counties.* WHEN...From 4 AM to 7 PM EDT Saturday.* IMPACTS...Water levels are expected to reach 7 to 7.5 feet above low water datum at Buffalo. This will result in elevated water levels and possibly minor flooding in harbors, bays, and other low lying shoreline areas.
