Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Restaurant owners across New York have been dealing with regulations that seem to be ever-changing. They have to keep up to retain their licenses.
"We're watching it daily because it does seem to be changing daily," says Chris Ring, owner of the Rec Room. "It's tough but at the end of the day we do what we can to stay open." He says safety is the number one concern. "I understand why everyone's under the microscope but at the same time, we're small business owners. We're not politicians. We got into this because we make great food or giving people a great time. We're working with it."
Ring says he appreciates the city working outside the box to extend outdoor seating along Chippewa for businesses like his.
