Donald Trump is once again posting comments, images and videos, this time in his own social media-like space hosted on his personal website.

The communications platform, titled "From the Desk of Donald J. Trump," launched on Tuesday, as reported by Fox News. It gives the former president "the ability to communicate directly with his followers" after controversial bans from Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Twitter in the aftermath of the deadly U.S. Capitol riot on January 6.

The technology behind the platform is Campaign Nucleus, a technology created by Trump’s former campaign manager Brad Parscale.

Posts on the page appear to go back several weeks, with options for people to share to Facebook and Twitter. There’s also an option to "like" a post by clicking on a heart-shaped icon, similar to Twitter.

"This is just a one-way communication," a source told the network.

The former president has long been rumored to be pursuing his own social media platform as he fights for reinstatement to the major sites. It's not clear if this platform is that solution or simply a test balloon.

Twitter and many other platforms have said Trump’s ban is permanent.

Meanwhile, a Facebook Oversight Board is expected to announce a decision on his possible reinstatement later this week.
