Trump was among other special guests including Former Vice President Mike Pence, Louisiana Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser, and other Louisiana Republican Congress members.

Trump’s plane left the New Orleans airport and was in the air only a few minutes when one of the plane’s engines failed and the pilot had to turn around and land again in New Orleans. The plane was taking Trump back to his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, according to the report.

Members of the RNC quickly found another private jet to safely take Trump back to his Florida home.
