NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A woman was rescued by NYPD first responders Friday morning after she was swept out to sea in Far Rockaway, Queens.
NYPD Aviation responded to the scene off Seagirt Boulevard and Beach 20th Street around 9 a.m. after the woman was “swept out by a strong riptide,” according to NYPD Special Operations, which posted dramatic video taken from a helicopter.

"They're bringing them up,” the man shooting the video says. “Wow, wow. That's wild.”
The woman’s condition wasn’t immediately known but she appeared to be alert in the NYPD video.
