NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The New York Police Department shared video on Thursday showing an officer and a good Samaritan frantically saving a sick man from a Bronx subway line moments before an incoming 5 train arrived.

The video shows subway riders gathering around an unidentified sick straphanger, who police said lost consciousness and fell on the subway tracks.
Soon an NYPD officer and a subway rider can be seen trying to help pull the victim from the tracks.
“Hurry, hurry, baby – hurry,” a woman could be heard shouting.
The video then shows commuters gathered to help pull the sick man, the officer and the good Samaritan out as an MTA announcement announced the Manhattan-bound train was approaching the station.
A variety of cheers and claps could be heard as the three were out of harm's way.
"NYPD cops help New Yorkers at any cost...We’re also grateful to the good Samaritan who bravely helped," the department said in their tweet.
