Luckily, Wendy’s is claiming they have discovered the solution, potentially putting an end to soggy french fries forever. The fast food chain recently announced they will be changing their fries so they remain crispy and hot longer than their predecessor.
While there are many reasons to love Wendy’s, one complaint the fast food chain often receives, even from their most dedicated customers, is about the sogginess of their fries. Now that is all about to change. Starting in mid-September, the chain will begin selling a new french fry that is crispier.

“They're going to notice a difference as soon as they taste it. The proof will be in the tasting,” Wendy's President Kurt Kane told CNN.
With more people ordering from the drive-thru than ever before, the fast food chain wanted to make sure their fries remained crispy all the way home.
"What we've done is balance the cut of the fry and kept a little bit of the skin of the potato on the fry to be able to drive flavor," Kane added. "We used a batter system that allows us to be able to maintain crispiness, both when they're fresh and hot out of the fryer as well as several minutes later."
The company is positive fans will enjoy the upgraded delicacy.
"A lot of the design characteristics are built around making sure that we can serve a hot and crispy fry every time, no matter how you choose to access Wendy's," he continued.
According to CNN, this is the first time Wendy’s has changed their fries since November 2010. If the new fry works, expect a new fast food war by the end of 2021.
