NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- What’s Gov. Andrew Cuomo going to do next? Where will he go? He hasn’t gotten that far yet.

Cuomo, who announced his resignation from office earlier this week effective Aug. 24, was asked by New York Magazine where’s he’s heading when his time is up as governor:

“Uh, I don’t know what I’m gonna do.”

Cuomo spoke to NY Mag Friday, saying that while he wasn’t sure where he may reside next, he'll still have a voice in the future.

“I’m not disappearing … I have a perspective and that’s not gonna change,” Cuomo said.

On Friday, the state Assembly announced it would suspend its impeachment probe into the sexual harassment allegations levied against Cuomo.

Cuomo said Tuesday in his resignation address that he wanted to spare New Yorkers of ”months of political and legal controversy.” He echoed similar sentiments in his interview with New York Magazine.

“I feel like I did the right thing. I did the right thing for the state. I’m not gonna drag the state through the mud, through a three-month, four-month impeachment, and then win, and have made the State Legislature and the state government look like a ship of fools.”

Wherever Cuomo goes, he seems to feel comfortable with it, thanks to his life spent across the Empire State, which has taken him from the city to Albany.

“I’m a New Yorker, I’ve lived here, I’ve lived in Queens, I’ve lived in the city, I’ve lived upstate, I’ve lived everywhere, I came to Washington, so that’s … I don’t really care about that. I’ll figure that out,” he said.
