NFL Insider for CBS Sports and Radio.com Jason La Canfora joined Kyle Bailey today on The Clubhouse as he discussed the latest with the Panthers, including if he thinks Matt Rhule should be a serious contender for the Coach of the Year Award.
Jason first discussed the injury to Christian McCaffrey as Kyle asked him if he thinks the Panthers should possibly shut him down for the season as he told Kyle that when you are trying to establish a new mentality in the locker room it probably won't happen given the mentality of both Rhule and CMC.
Jason then weighed in on the possibility of Matt Rhule being considered for Cocah of The Year as Jason said he doesn't think he will be a favorite, but when you take everything into consideration he should be in the race considered what the expectations were before the season started.
The final topic that Jason discussed is how the QB class of this past year's draft class has performed as Jason has been completely blown away by all of them, in particular Justin Herbert. Jason described how Justin has been able to show out with the Chargers, even with the mess that the organization has been this year.
