This nightmare continues for the bruised and battered Yankees, as slugger Aaron Judge left Saturday's game against the Royals with a left oblique strain, the team announced.
Judge appeared to suffer the injury on a swing when he singled during the sixth inning. He was slow leaving the batter's box and then left the game.
Judge is hitting .288 with five homers and 11 RBIs this season. He was 2-for-4 with a homer Saturday.
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said after the game he did not have any additional information about the injury, but when he asked if he thought Judge would avoid a stint on the injured list, he answered, "Probably not."
